Itemizing Diamonds, Precious Gemstones & Lab Certifications

Log 4Cs diamond attributes (Cut, Colour, Clarity, Carat), gemstone piece counts, and certified lab IDs (GIA, IGI, SGL) on customer invoices.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Add Gemstone Line Item

Inside the invoice item editor, tap 'Add Gemstone / Diamond'.

2

Select Gemstone Classification

Choose gemstone type: Natural Diamond, Lab-Grown CVD/HPHT, Emerald, Ruby, Blue Sapphire, Yellow Sapphire, Pearl, or Coral.

3

Enter 4Cs Diamond Specifications

For diamonds, select Cut (Round Brilliant, Princess, Cushion), Colour (D to Z), and Clarity (FL, VVS1, VS2, SI1).

4

Record Weight & Piece Count

Specify total piece count and weight in Carats, Cents, or Ratti. JewelBill converts carats to grams automatically for gross weight reconciliation.

5

Input Lab Certification Number

Enter the official laboratory certificate number from GIA, IGI, SGL, or HKD. The certificate ID is printed directly onto the final PDF invoice.

Expected Outcome

High-value diamond and gemstone jewellery bills feature comprehensive provenance disclosures, building buyer trust and meeting hallmarking standards.

Important Points & Common Pitfalls

  • Entering gemstone weight in grams instead of carats (1 carat = 0.200 grams / 200 mg).
